15-Year-Old JHS Students Drowns At River Owabi.

David Laari, a Junior High School (JHS) student, drowned in the River Owabi in Dabaa in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region, at the age of fifteen (15).

On Monday, November 7, 2022, the terrible tragedy reportedly occurred as the deceased and a buddy were swimming in the River Owabi.

In an interview with AMBASSADOR TV, a resident of Dabaa Obiri Yeboah described the tragic incident and said that “a team was sent to the spot and managed to rescue the second youngster who is still alive and responding to treatment at Dabaa Government Hospital.”

According to him “The team struggled before they were able to retrieve the body of the deceased after the chief of Dabaa performed some rituals”

“The students went to school and they were told that teachers are on strike so they closed.

If the students were in school this unfortunate incident wouldn’t have happened” he lamented

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at Mount Sinai Morgue at Taabre pending autopsy.
