At the Gtech Community Stadium, Chelsea’s streak of victories under Graham Potter came to an end as the Blues were held to a scoreless tie by Brentford.

The Blues travelled a fairly short distance to their west London neighbours in the hopes of extending their winning streak under Graham Potter to six games overall. That would not be a simple task, and Kepa Arrizabalaga made two excellent saves to deny Ivan Toney during a hectic opening 45 minutes.

After the break, Chelsea took control of the game, but the Bees did threaten on the break. Kepa once again made a strong save to deny Toney and Bryan Mbuemo, who had the game’s best chance.

In the second period, the Blues had opportunities of their own. David Raya stopped attempts from Christian Pulisic and Carney Chukwuemeka while also blocking Kai Havertz. In the end, Potter’s team was unable to open a passage.
